Dominic Roy, the forest engineer
I am a technologist and a forest engineer. In 2008, I started my own environmental consulting firm.
I practise mostly in the Lanaudière and Laurentians areas, but I always find a way to travel across the whole province of Quebec to practise my trade, while living my passion.
I have more than 25 years of experience in my profession, and I make a point of staying on top of the latest innovations. This way, my services are always tailored to your needs and comply with the existing laws and regulations.
Richard Laurin, the biologist
With a bachelor’s degree in biological and ecological sciences and a master’s degree in renewable resources, Richard has also developed a varied work experience in the field of biology. Passionate about camping, outdoors and botany, his passions have taken him to many regions of Quebec.
He makes a solid contribution to the team, both in the office and in the field, thanks to his attention to detail, resilience, and perseverance.
Marc-Antoine Cyr, the biologist-GIS specialist
A member of the DRIFEC team since March 2026, Marc-Antoine has a bachelor’s degree in ecology, a microprogram in practical ecology and a master’s degree in applied geomatics and remote sensing. Over the course of his studies and professional career, he has accumulated a lot of experience in environmental organizations, such as watershed organizations (OBVs), Priority Intervention
Zone (ZIP) Committees, and regional environmental councils (CREs).
Very active, Marc-Antoine likes outdoor activities. Hiking, fishing, camping and sports in general are among his favourites.
Versatile, he can easily adapt to different types of projects and mandates. He enjoys teamwork and contributes to a good collaborative atmosphere. We can also count on his rigour, both in the office and out in the field.
Xavier Roy, the student
A civil engineering student at Laval University, Xavier is a real bundle of energy! A fan of many sports, he stands out as much for his vitality as for his rigor.
Thanks to the knowledge acquired in his academic career, he now produces a large part of the company’s technical plans. He actively participates in on-site surveys, as he masters different measurement methods.
Calm, dedicated, and versatile, he quickly understands the projects and knows how to combine precision, efficiency and team spirit. In short, he is a pillar of the DRIFEC team!
