Richard Laurin, the biologist

With a bachelor’s degree in biological and ecological sciences and a master’s degree in renewable resources, Richard has also developed a varied work experience in the field of biology. Passionate about camping, outdoors and botany, his passions have taken him to many regions of Quebec.

He makes a solid contribution to the team, both in the office and in the field, thanks to his attention to detail, resilience, and perseverance.

Marc-Antoine Cyr, the biologist-GIS specialist

A member of the DRIFEC team since March 2026, Marc-Antoine has a bachelor’s degree in ecology, a microprogram in practical ecology and a master’s degree in applied geomatics and remote sensing. Over the course of his studies and professional career, he has accumulated a lot of experience in environmental organizations, such as watershed organizations (OBVs), Priority Intervention

Zone (ZIP) Committees, and regional environmental councils (CREs).
Very active, Marc-Antoine likes outdoor activities. Hiking, fishing, camping and sports in general are among his favourites.

Versatile, he can easily adapt to different types of projects and mandates. He enjoys teamwork and contributes to a good collaborative atmosphere. We can also count on his rigour, both in the office and out in the field.

Marylie Billette, the biologist

A biology graduate, Marylie earned her bachelor’s degree from UQAR in 2026. She has a particular interest in ecology and environmental protection. With a naturally curious mind, she enjoys expanding her knowledge and gaining a deeper understanding of the world around her.

Committed to doing her work well, she values scientific rigour, both in the field and in the office. Her interest in human relationships also leads her to explore the connections between ecosystems and the people who interact with them.

She is motivated by a desire to make a concrete contribution to the conservation and enhancement of natural environments.

Xavier Roy, the student

A civil engineering student at Laval University, Xavier is a real bundle of energy! A fan of many sports, he stands out as much for his vitality as for his rigor.

Thanks to the knowledge acquired in his academic career, he now produces a large part of the company’s technical plans. He actively participates in on-site surveys, as he masters different measurement methods.

Calm, dedicated, and versatile, he quickly understands the projects and knows how to combine precision, efficiency and team spirit. In short, he is a pillar of the DRIFEC team!

Charles-Étienne Roy, the student

At only 15 years old, Charles-Étienne is already in his second summer with the DRIFEC team. Intellectual and athletic, he stands out for his curiosity, his ability to learn quickly and his infectious enthusiasm.

Daily, he takes part in field surveys, prepares work plans and helps finalize several technical drawings on AutoCAD. Thanks to his organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to adapt quickly to new work methods, he is able to provide practical support to the company’s various projects.

His dedication, versatility and motivation make him an asset at DRIFEC, and we are proud to support him in his professional development.
